2022 DEACON NOMINATIONS

During the month of May, church members have  the opportunity to nominate men to serve as  deacons for the upcoming year. Nominations are due by Sun., May 29th , 2022. Listed below are the qualifications for deacon:

1.  Each man to be considered for deacon must meet the basic standards set forth in the New Testament
(Acts 6:1-7, I Timothy 3:8-13).

2.  He must not be divorced without biblical grounds (Matthew 5:31-32, I Corinthians 7:15).

3.  He must tithe through First Baptist Church  (Malachi 3:10).

4.  He must agree with the beliefs and practices as defined in the Constitution and Bylaws of First Baptist Church.

5.  He must be an active participant in the ministry of First Baptist Church.

6.  He must be at least 21 years of age.

7.  If ordained elsewhere, he must have been a member of First Baptist Church for one year. If not ordained, he must have been a member of First Baptist Church for two consecutive years.
