Advent // Looking Forward to Christmas Day

These short, daily devotionals are meant to either introduce you to Jesus Christ, the One whose birth we celebrate, or strengthen your faith and hope in Him. Dec. 24

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. John 3:16

Devotional: God so loved ... If there are three words that describe the Christmas story, that describe the Gospel and all of Scripture, it’s these first few words of this verse! At Christmas, we celebrate the Light of World because God so loved the world. Jesus came and it was always God’s plan for Him to come because of who our God is – a Father who loves us and wants us to know His glory!

Pray, and spend some time thanking God for His saving, never stopping, never ending love. Ask Him to shine His light through you – this week and every other!

Family Activity: As a family, reread the Christmas story from Luke 2, reflecting on all the ways God shows His love for us throughout the story. If you have young children, invite each family member to act out a different character from the story to make it more interactive.

Merry Christmas! Join us tonight for our Christmas Eve Service at 5 p.m. Learn more at the link below.
